Kaelin Perrin Ph.D.​

Kaelin Perrin, Ph.D. completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from James Madison University and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Adler University in Chicago, Illinois. Her doctoral dissertation focused on using measures of personality to detect deception during hiring processes for safety-sensitive positions. She has been conducting pre-employment psychological suitability assessments for large metropolitan police, corrections, communications, and fire departments in the Chicago and DC area since 2017. In addition to public safety work, Dr. Perrin provides mental health services to individuals in her private practice where she specializes in working with people who have experienced complex trauma. She has worked in a wide variety of clinical settings, including a primary care site where she engaged in crisis intervention in addition to providing brief health-focused therapy and trauma treatment; a prison for male offenders where she provided both individual and group-based treatment; and a residential facility for individuals with comorbid mental health/substance use disorders. She is licensed in DC and Virginia, and holds the PSYPACT credential.
